New Glycosylation Reaction Using Sulfated Glycosyl Donors andSynthesis of Chondroitin Sulfates

摘要

Sulfated oligosaccharides show several biological activities dependent on its sulfation pattern,and these compounds are expected as pharmaceuticals.However sulfated oligosaccharidesisolated from natural sources show heterogeneity in both sulfation pattern and the length ofoligosaccharide,so we cannot identify which sulfated groups are responsible for theirbioactivity.To investigate the relationship between a sulfated pattern and its bioactivity,chemical synthesis has contributed to the preparation of homogeneous sulfated oligosaccharide.
