PARTITIONING EFFICIENCY FOR MOBILE APPLIANCES

摘要

This paper presents product level considerations for partitioning of mobile appliances including cellular handsets, personal digital assistants, pagers, short message service tools, etc. Considerations include multichip packaging as a cost effective alternative to single chip packaging in the design and manufacture of mobile products. Important aspects include functionality and complexity, acquisition and logistics costs, product modularity and integration.
