As pointed out by Crie (2015), environmental packaging has never been a clear concept in the literature on consumer behavior. Researchers have used different terms to indicate environmental packaging, such as sustainable packaging, green packaging design, sustainable design, eco-design, and environmentally conscious design. It is, therefore, necessary to establish a good understanding of how an average consumer perceives environmental packaging.
