DEVELOPMENT OF THE ABILITY TO DEAL WITH AND MANAGE MATHEMATICAL LANGUAGE AND TOOLS IN THE COURSE 'MATHEMATICS FOR ECONOMISTS'

摘要

In this article, a short description of the course "Mathematics for economists" of Latvia University of Life Sciences and technologies is given, course learning outcomes are presented and, the contribution of the course to the development of mathematical competences is analysed, based on lecturers' survey. The course "Mathematics for economists" study results are illustrated by the results of the student survey, which shows how confident students are about their mathematical competence and knowledge.
