Study on the Ecological and Folklore Connotation of the Components, Pattern and Layout of Mongolian Yurt

摘要

Mongolian Yurt has been an almost perfect dwelling developed by nomadic people in North temperate grassland in Asia for thousands of years.As a native culture for nomadic people, yurt has become a concentrated reflection of nomadic culture and dwelling folk custom of Mongol nationality.This article will disassemble and analyze components, traditional patterns and layout of the yurt from the perspective of ecological folk custom, in the hope that we can know something about building methods,structure, material performance, pattern &decorative elements of the yurt, so as to gain new awareness of its inherent nomadic culture & dwelling folk custom and ecological generation.Also, I hope that this article could provide necessary reference for China's current environmental protection and sustainable development as well as healthy development of construction and decoration industry.
