The chemical speciation of element has been important because its toxic and biological effects cannot be determined only by the information of the total element, but they depend on the particular chemical forms of an element. This study was focused on the analytical methods for the separation and quantitation of arsenic species (As~(3+),As~(5+), MMA, DMA and AsB) in marine samples. Arsenic species in samples were extracted by the solvent of methanol: water (l:l,v:v) and separated using a Hamilton PRP-X100 analytical column. And then the concentrations of each species were selectively detected by mass spectrometry. The recovery efficiency of this method was 86.4%, and good reproducibility was also obtained. Due to the high content of chloride in the marine samples, we will focus on the interference caused by ArCl at mass 75 in the future study. We will try to detect arsenic at mass 91 by combining arsenic with oxygen (AsO).
