The nature of the K~π=O_2~+ band is analyzed in the light of the variation of band head energy and other attributes, with N, Z for nuclei in the A= 150-200 mass region. The absolute B(E2) strength for excitation of 2_γ and 2_(K=02),are studied. The role of B(E2, 0_2-2_g) and B(E2, 0_2?2_γ)is discussed. A comparison with Interacting Boson model and results from the Pairing Plus Quadrupole interaction in the dynamic approach is made. The problem of shape co-existence in N=88, 90 nuclei is reviewed. The possibility of K~~π=O2~+ as γγ-vibration is examined in expected cases.
