HOW DO I GET SMART WITH IPC CFX?

Support for the Connected Factory Exchange (CFX) standard is already being integrated into many models of SMT equipment. Many will have seen the result of this already, with several CFX live demonstrations occurring throughout the year. There are however, many more than the few CFX messages that enable the real-time dashboards the world has seen so far at the trade-show demos. Though CFX is structured to simplify implementation, there is a wealth of information available across all major facets of manufacturing. This presentation goes into detail, with examples, of how CFX messages deliver information, the flexible ways in which that information can be used, and the Smart digitalized Industry 4.0 style applications that are enabled as a result. The expected breadth of CFX-based digital factory solution providers, including machine vendors, MES providers and in-house IT developers, will be shown, including how all of these parties' solutions will work together through the CFX framework.
