Fabrication Processes and Technologies for Monolithic InP Microsystems

The extension of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) from Si-based to indium phosphide (InP)-based devices is not a straightforward technology transfer, particularly in monolithic designs. We present a review of challenges in this process and the current status of the InP microsystem field.
