Contract Cheating 'The Hidden Trend in Computer Science Education'

Contract cheating is a new form of plagiarism that affects higher education everywhere in the world. A student can submit an original solution to an assignment by contracting an individual anywhere in the world to do the work and then present it as their own. There is a multitude of websites on the internet offering their services for a minimal fee. Computer science students hand in assignments they should of spent hours completing without learning any of the assignment objectives. This paper explains what contract cheating is and offers a plan to deter it in the classroom. Contents of this paper are the individual research of the author as a grader and lecturer for a period of thirteen semesters.
