TEACHING AID FOR TEACHING CONCEPTS OF STACKS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE EDUCATION

This invention is provides a teaching aid for computer science instructors for effectively teaching concepts connected with the subject of data structures and especially the sub-topic of stacks. As a stack is a dynamic data structure, showing the operation connected with it solely by using the blackboard and chalk is not only tedious but also not effective from the point of view of understanding of concepts by the students. The teaching aid consists of a horizontal and a vertical member to represent a string and a stack, respectively. Tokens with characters printed on them can be slid on the horizontal string member and on the vertical stack member to effectively demonstrate operations associated with the topic of stacks.
