Theories of Learning and Factors Affecting Learning

摘要

Current and emerging research on human learning provides a platform for the development of guiding principles aimed at improving student learning outcomes and the development of a life-long learning culture. Understanding of human learning has significant and far-reaching implications for teaching practice. In the paper the author presents some key theories of human learning and some factors that affect learning. Many of these theories are complementary, and can be applied equally to student learners and to teachers as learners. Educators and teachers should also pay attention to the various factors that affect learning. Our developing knowledge of the human body, mind, emotions and social behaviors help us to understand both learning and teaching.
