Partial substitution of zinc by using of conductive fillers of different types and combinations as well as possible improvement of zinc rich paints by addition of nanoparticulate zinc has been investigated by means of EN measurements performed in 0.05 M NaCl solution. The motivation for doing this was the fact that EN measurements provide a set of parameters which can be used for fast assessment of the effect of different materials and methods of preparation of coating on anticorrosion quality of modified ZRP. This multiparameter assessment (analysis of EN data in both time and frequency domains) permits to evaluate this effect in different stages of anti-corrosion performance of tested ZRP. Possibility of use of EN data in combination with single frequency (1 kHz) impedance test results to provide a rapid ranking of studied coatings corrosion control performance has also been discussed.
