Partial substitution of zinc by using of conductive fillers of different types andcombinations as well as possible improvement of zinc rich paints by addition ofnanoparticulate zinc has been investigated by means of EN measurementsperformed in 0.05 M NaCl solution. The motivation for doing this was the fact that ENmeasurements provide a set of parameters which can be used for fast assessment ofthe effect of different materials and methods of preparation of coating on anticorrosionquality of modified ZRP. This multiparameter assessment (analysis of ENdata in both time and frequency domains) permits to evaluate this effect in differentstages of anti-corrosion performance of tested ZRP. Possibility of use of EN data incombination with single frequency (1 kHz) impedance test results to provide a rapidranking of studied coatings corrosion control performance has also been discussed.
