The integration of smartphones into university classrooms is a challenge for a teacher. We live in a society of information and communication, in which electronic devices are habitually present in our everyday lives. The smartphone has become an essential communication channel for the new generations and the use of this device in the classroom, in combination with online tests, as a selfassessment tool, increases the motivation and participation of the student, and allowing tutors to monitor the effectiveness of teaching-learning methodologies, and to implement technological pedagogical strategies without the need to acquire new equipment. In this research we propose the integration of the Smartphone in teaching, with the use of online tests, which serve as a tool to generate self-assessment, scaffolding and self-learning in students, thus enhancing their autonomy, necessary in their later working live. The use of the SurveyMonkey? and Google? Forms will be analysed. Both are simple, instant, attractive and intuitive. We will analyse the individual and combined use of both within the classroom environment and when they are used in non-classroom teaching to being used in non-classroom teaching as reinforcement outside the classroom. In the practices carried out in the classroom it has been possible to confirm that integrating mobile devices into the classroom is well-received by the students, despite the complexity of the tests that are presented to them. This technology adds a playful aspect. The tests have been carried out in several subjects, both undergraduate and master?s programmes within two faculties of the Universitat Politècnica de València involved in the present investigation: Faculty of Business Administration and Management -ADE- and the Faculty of Fine Arts. The present proposal aims to promote the use of alternative teaching strategies based on active methodologies, through a social and technological immersion that promotes continuous learning. For this type of teaching innovation, special emphasis will be placed on the work in the classroom and also of the autonomous work outside of it. It is hoped that face-to-face training will implement new online platforms that achieve the acquisition of skills, combined with other teaching tools.
