摘要

Education has a significant impact on social cohesion, development and prosperity with teachers as key players shaping the values, skills, knowledge and aspirations of future citizens. The teaching profession is changing as society does and teachers are required to work in increasingly multicultural classrooms, integrate students with special needs and use ICT for teaching effectively. The present work draws on the specialised literature, reports by experts and political documents to develop a set of guidelines for preparing teachers to improve science and mathematics learning in culturally diverse classrooms.
