摘要

This paper presents the way of obtaining some rack gear with variable transmission ratio. At the pinion-rack gear is modeled a rack with curved profile for continuous variation of the ratio, in the condition of a steering box meant for automobiles. The alternative of a steering box with variable ratio in steps is technologically advantageous, leading to a linear sprocket profile with a broken linearity. The inferred relations, the effected modeling and numerical calculus' make up the geometrical potential of these gears. For the case of the rack-cogged sector gear is being analyzed the rack's bending solution, transforming it in a wheel with translation, while the sector is eccentrically articulated. The inferred relations and the effected numerical simulations emphasizes also the applicability range of the gear in the case of the steering box. The possibility of such a solution is pointed out in the invention license.
