摘要

Recirculating ball variable ratio steering gear can meet the requirements of steering portability and sensitiveness for heavy duty vehicle. In order to design variable ratio gear for automobile recirculating ball variable ratio steering gear, the digital design method of variable ratio gear for recirculating ball variable ratio steering gear is put forward based on meshing theory in this paper. The calculation models of the tooth profile point for middle tooth, same section and any cross section are established, respectively. The calculation steps of curved surface point cloud for variable ratio gear are designed, numerical calculation method is presented, and the curved surface point cloud for variable ratio gear is obtained. The transmission ratio of the sample for variable ratio gear is tested under different load to verify the effectiveness of the design method.
