摘要

Mechanical variable ratio steering gear can meet with the requirements of portability and sensitiveness for automobile steering gear. In order to design variable ratio gear pair, the digital design method of variable ratio gear pair for mechanical variable ratio steering gear is put forward based on enveloping principle in this paper. Based on variable transmission ratio, the macroprogram of Boolean subtraction operation is established with three-dimensional modelling software. The generating cutting process of tooth profile enveloping surface for variable ratio gear pair is simulated, and the three-dimensional model of variable ratio gear pair is obtained. After mending the curve surface of tooth profile and virtual assembling variable ratio gear pair, the simulation analysis for variable ratio gear pair is implemented. According to comparison of the transmission ratio curve obtained by simulation and the known design curve, the validity of digital design method is verified.
