LEARNING BASED ON PROJECTS AND PROBLEM SOLVING ON ACOUSTICAL REHABILITATION.

摘要

In the vast field of the sustainable rehabilitation, the acoustical rehabilitation and transformation of buildings or of archaeological sites in auditoria for music, museums, or interpretation centres for the public in general, is a habitual practice. In the last decades, a growing interest towards the acoustical quality in the architecture has been detected, and we can cite the birth of new acoustical regulations in various European countries. In order to quantify the relation between the acoustical conditions and the satisfaction of the users, professionals need to be able to respond to the following questions: Is it needed intelligibility, concentration, confidentiality.... ? What acoustical conditions would be satisfactory for the users? Which is the acoustical comfort in the current construction? In order to answer these questions, it is necessary a review of the available scientific information related to acoustics and psychoacous-tics. These questions are asked throughout the learning based on projects and problem solving in the subject entitled "Light, sound and colour in Rehabilitation" of the "Master in comprehensive restoration and management of built heritage" (University of the Basque Country). From them, we motivate the students to acquire the knowledge and the training to deal with acoustical conditioning real problems in architectural rehabilitation.
