A series of cyclic octapeptides cyclo(-L-Lys-Gly-L-Xxx-Gly-)2 and cyclo(-L-Glu-Gly-L-Xxx-Gly-)2 (Xxx=Phe, Trp) were designed and synthesized. The series of peptides do not contain D-amino acids. Transmission electron microscope experiments showed that mixture of cyclo(-L-Lys-Gly-L-Phe-Gly-)2 and cyclo(-L-Glu-Gly- L-Phe-Gly-) 2 formed fibrous structure.
