PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sequence of a new cyclic peptide forming a nanotube in a nanometer scale, having a regular fine structure and a hollow structure, and a nanotube-forming condition of the material having the sequence.;SOLUTION: The cyclic peptide is designed for coordinating a metal ion in the inside of a ring of the cyclic peptide by arranging a region in which three residues of the same optical isomers are continuously arranged so that the two regions may not be continued, and so that the center amino acid of the three residues may be directed to the inside of the ring and the amino acid such as His and Asp forming a coordinate bond with a metal ion may be set at the position, and forming alternately arranged sequences of L-isomers and D-isomers of other amino acids. The cyclic peptide self-organizingly associates under a specific condition, and forms the nanotube by coordinating the metal ion in the inside of the ring to sequence the metal ion one-dimensionally in the nanotube.
