Peptide based vaccines provide more advantages than disadvantages when compared to vaccines based on recombinant proteins, DNA constructs, attenuated bacterial or viral vectors, of being selective, chemically defined and safe. In addition, large quantities of chemically purified peptide vaccines can be prepared. A number of report indicates that general peptides incorporating helper T cell determinants and B cell epitopes in multiple copies in branched architecture were better immunogens. To achieve this result, epitope peptides were conjugated to an appropriate carrier molecule, chosen on the basis of the size, the number of reactive groups and the solubility.
