Establishing mining limits for partial undermining of surface infrastructure at Union Mine

Union Mine is located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa on the western limb of the Bushveld Complex. Two reefs are currently being extracted, namely the Merensky reef and the UGII reef. The current mining depth extends from surface to approximately 1.5 km below surface. The plan is to extend mining to a depth of approximately 2 km below surface.
