摘要

A microporous layered organic-inorganic nanocomposite has been prepared by interlayersilylation of a crystalline layered silicate, ilerite, with 4, 4'-bis(methyldichlorosily1)-biphenyl. The nanocomposite has a gallery height of 2.11 nm, which is retained bybridging of the biphenylene units between the layers. The bridging yields microporousstructure in the interlayer where the biphenylene units have a role in the framework of themicropore, leading to a higher adsorptivity for toluene than other porous silicas.
