Monitoring the Safe Motion of Wheeled Vehicles Particularly on Slopes

This paper describes a novel monitoring device with a dual acceleration sensor for off-road vehicles, capable of preventing dangerous skid situations, particularly on slopes, the Electronic Watching System (EWS) monitor handles any conceivable manoeuvre, watches the safe speed in context with braking during descent, informs the driver about the slope and heading angles and may limit the velocity if necessary. In general, it assists the driver to reach maximum safe performance with his vehicle.
