Synthetic peptides representing epitopes of parent protein are used not only for the understanding of the antigen structure but also the construction of subunit vaccine against microbial infection or malignant diseases.One can also utilise peptide based synthetic antigens with rational design for the preparation of specific,sensitive,simple and reliable immunodiagnostics.
