ICT and new teacher training models: possibilities and problems

This paper considers the transition from traditional models of teacher training to new forms made possible by the opportunities offered by ICT. We make reference to an in-service training course we designed and carried out for primary and secondary school teachers. We analyse how the course is structured and how its development has been supported by the use of different technological tools (educational software, web sites, computer conferencing). Our work pursues two main research objectives: to expeximent with a model for transferring a pedagogical methodology and to verify the support offered in this regard by the different technologies used.
