THE SECOND PHASE OF THEPICASSO EXPERIMENT

PICASSO (Project in Canada to Search for Supersymmetric Objects) is enter-ing its second experimental phase. A new setup has been installed undergroundat SNOLAB which will have a total of 2.5kg of active mass. For this a newdetector with new purification techniques, new environmental control systemand a new data acquisition have been developed. Data taking with the firstnew detectors has started at the time of the IDM 2006 conference.
