摘要

In this paper we discuss the Comprehension SEEDING system and how it enhances the classroom discussion. SEEDING attempts to accomplish this by providing real-time formative assessment of student responses. Teachers can pose questions using the SEEDING system. students submit typed responses, and the system automatically groups the responses according to their semantic similarity. These components equip teachers with the necessary tools to engage the classroom in a broad and enhanced discussion.
