To make education is to influence behaviors, or to make these influences in a desirable direction, it is necessary for the person who issues the influence to have some psycho-pedagogical skills, counseling skills. The present article focuses on the analysis of the potential relationships between the need for psycho-pedagogical training and the indicators that measure the pedagogical behavior of the teaching staff. The analysis of the data was done by combining quantitative (statistical) and qualitative (content) methods in order to obtain a more detailed and concrete picture of the topic. The research tool, the questionnaire, aimed to investigate the activities performed by the teachers in the usual pedagogical activity, strong activities determined by the contact, the relationship with the pupils. Moreover, a set of indicators was developed to identify the frequency of use in the usual work of close competencies, precursors, to the specifics of educational counseling. Regarding the identification of the disciplines that can support the curriculum of the educational counseling for the teachers and especially head teachers, carried out in relation to the indicator on the necessity of the pedagogical training in the field of educational counseling, the results showed that the most representative for such of the curriculum are: conflict psycho sociology, assertive communication, family pedagogy, permanent learning management, equal opportunities in education, professional career management. The study can be an effective information tool whose results can be integrated into the administrative and educational approaches of several categories of beneficiaries or decisionmakers. The data provided can be at the heart of the surprise of the relevance of future in-service training programs.
