E-learning in Higher Education -A Case Study in Hong Kong

E-learning is becoming a popular study mode in colleges and universities. With the widely use of e-learning in course delivery, people are increasingly concerned with the extent to which e-learning is an effective means for education. This paper discusses the development of e-learning in higher education sector and evaluates the teaching effectiveness of e-learning. It includes a comparison of the examination results of two groups of students studying in online mode and traditional face-to-face mode of the same master degree programme in Hong Kong. This is followed by a discussion of the blended learning approach and conclusions of the findings.
