The paper considers the problem of stabilization and modal control for linear stationary time-delay systems of retarded type under action of linear state feedback of various types. Special attention is paid to the stabilization of second -order systems by the action of a feedback in the form of difference regulators. In the case in which the question of the existence of a difference regulator is open, a linear integral feedback is proposed to solve the problem. In contrast to the well-known method given by Krasovskii and Osipov, our method of construction of integral feedback is based on the Paley- Wiener theorem concerning entire functions of exponential type. An illustrative example is also presented.
