摘要

Taking into account non-locality in infinite media alter the electron energy loss due to longitudinal wave excitations in the medium. By the present analytical formulation it is possible to identify the different kinds of excitations. Using the so-called mirror conditions in the case of normal incidence it is possible to calculate the energy loss inside a semi-infinite medium. Excitations at the surface and in the bulk can be identified.
