The article will review an innovative pilot program that was conducted by the Ministry of Education, Digital Israel and CET (Center of educational technology) in the field of professional development of teachers in Israel: assimilation and implementation of the Micro-credentials model, that has been implemented to date in non-educational fields. The article will present pedagogic aspects, initial conclusions, suggestions for improvements, and expectations for return on investment.
