摘要

This paper explores the effect of core job dimensions and social supports on employee engagement by data collected from 346 employees in enterprises and government departments through questionnaires. The results show there're statistically significant positive correlations between the job characteristics and engagement. Base on the multiple linear regression, the research tests the intrinsic motivation playing mediation roles in that process. The mediation effects are different for the two kinds of job characteristics. For core job dimensions the intrinsic motivation plays partial mediation role, for social supports it plays fully mediation role.
