The present application relates to an adjustable longitudinal beam self-hanging basket truck and a construction method using same. The adjustable longitudinal beam self-hanging basket truck comprises a crawler transporter, an adjustable longitudinal beam mechanism, a balance force-bearing structure, a pedestal mechanism and a suspension hanging basket formwork system, wherein the adjustable longitudinal beam mechanism and the balance force-bearing structure are located on the crawler transporter; the pedestal mechanism is located on a front end edge of a shaped box girder bridge deck; and the suspension hanging basket formwork system is located on longitudinal beams at a front end of the pedestal mechanism. By means of the present application, the weight of a hanging basket is reduced by 60% of the weight of a traditional hanging basket, and there is no need for on-site construction; and multiple trucks can be used and arranged side-by-side for construction, such that the construction of box girder to be cast for one construction section can be completed in one go, as compared with the construction of box girder to be cast using a traditional hanging basket that needs to be assembled in half to complete one construction section, thereby greatly improving the pouring quality of the box girder to be cast.
