Simulation of Viscous Non-Newtonian Flow under the Influence of Longitudinal Vibration by the Lattice Boltzmann Method

摘要

A longitudinal micro vibration is applied to the walls of a non-Newtonian Poiseuille flow. This micro vibration is shown to have a strong effect on the stress reduction and flow rate enhancement. As a promising method, the lattice Boltzmann method can be used to simulate the non-Newtonian fluid because of its special features, such as easy in handling complex boundary conditions and mnhifaceted properties of a fluid system. The non-Newtonian fluid flow properties,such as the stress reduction and flow rate enhancement caused by vibration, are studied by using the lattice Bohzmann method in this paper.
