To provide a porous fluoropolymer membrane having resistance against a corrosive or oxidative fluid.SOLUTION: A porous membrane contains a porous support, and a coating containing a copolymer having monomer units A and B, and a monomer unit C as arbitrary selection, in which the monomer unit A is a halogenated vinyl monomer other than tetrafluoroethylene, halogenated alkyl vinyl ether, or alkene of formula CnH2n, in formula, n is 1 to 6; B is a perfluoro (alkylvinyl) ether compound, a perfluoro alkylvinyl compound or a perfluoroalkoxy alkylvinyl ether compound, each compound is one or a plurality of sulfonic acid groups or a salt thereof, one or a plurality of sulfonyl fluoride groups, one or a plurality of sulfonamide groups or one or a plurality of sulfonate groups: and C is vinylidene fluoride.SELECTED DRAWING: None
