An adjustable link length microwave rain attenuation pattern artificial rainfall experimentation method, comprising the following steps: 1) designing and calculating rainfall intensities of different recurrence intervals, forming an experimental rainfall process, and utilizing an artificial rainfall hall to simulate artificial rainfall; 2) building a corner reflector and dynamically adjusting the length of a microwave link; 3) installing an experimental microwave device and selecting a microwave link of a specific microwave band to serve as an experimental link; 4) utilizing a self-recording rain gauge to acquire measurement data on the experimental link under different rainfall intensity conditions; 5) acquiring a complete process of changes in the experimental rainfall intensities on the basis of the measurement data, and analyzing to deduce a microwave rain attenuation pattern. Microwave rain attenuation processes under different rainfall intensities and different link length conditions are simulated in artificial rainfall equipment, the microwave rain attenuation pattern is mined and analyzed, accurate and reliable experimental data is provided for disclosing the true microwave rain attenuation pattern, and a great foundation is laid for implementing precision monitoring of rainfall.
