21,033. Reddaway, F. Sept. 22. Memorandum and like books.-Relates to a blotting-pad which consists of a baseboard carrying a blotting-pad, diary, calendar, catalogue, scribbling- block, &c. THe baseboard a is covered with leather &c. b, having longitudinal slits at c, d, e, f, and may have advertisements on the front and back. The pads, diaries, &c. are provided with an extra flap h, by which they are temporarily attached to the baseboard, and, to prevent them from lifting up, the back is provided with an extension i. Thus in Fig. 9 the flaps h, i of a book g are shown inserted into slits f, e, and similarly the flaps k, m of a book j are inserted into slits c, d. The flap n of a book o is then inserted into the slit e, and the extension p is inserted in a pocket q in the flap m of the book j.
