Blotting-appliances. - A holder for pads of blotting-paper comprises a flexible and tensible base of indiarubber or indiarubber composition provided with pockets of triangular or other shape into which some or all of the corners of the pad are tucked. The pockets may be constituted by single inclined slots b which slice into the thickness of the material of the base a, or separate pieces of indiarubber or the like may be attached bv solution or other means to form the pockets. The underside of the base may be roughened or serrated, or a vulcanized fabric layer which may be roughened or serrated may be attached.
