Mattresses.-An additional support adapted to be placed at any part of a spring mattress to prevent sagging comprises coil springs F or other resilient members supported on cross-bars B, which are vertically adjustable so as to vary the supporting strength and are also horizontally adjustable. The bar may be adjustable in length as shown in dotted lines, and may be carried on the screwed ends of hooks C, D movable on the side rails A of the mattress or bedstead. The coil springs may be connected to the mattress surface by the form of clip shown in Fig. 4.
