The corners i, Fig. 4, of the loose front are inserted in pockets or loops formed by stitching pieces h to the underside of the shirt, these pieces projecting beyond the edges b of the front opening to facilitate the insertion of the corners i. When an undershirt is worn, the piece covering the chest is stitched at its lower end to the undershirt, and fastened at the neck by buttons.
