Discharging - appliances.-In a device for mixing and feeding cereals, flour, powders, &c. comprising a conical hopper containing beaters from which the material is fed by means of a vibrating shoe, a sliding gate being provided to regulate the feed, means are provided for regulating the size of the feed-outlet and the motion of the shoe. The shoe g is suspended by springs q and vibrated by a cam s, being returned by a spring r. The amount of the return is regulated by means of a screw 2 attached to the shoe and striking against a piece 3 on the frame of the machine. A gate f is carried on bent arms 5 provided with screws and nuts by means of which the height of the gate can be adjusted. To regulate the distance between the edge of the shoe g and the gate f. the shoe g is provided with a sliding false bottom 9, the position of which can be adjusted by means of screws 10 and nuts 11.
