Lay-figure and like stands.-Display busts or lay-figures, particularly for displaying low - cut blouses or dresses, are coated in parts with fleshcoloured paint or enamel over which, before drying, is rubbed starch powder, rice flour, &c. The bust preferably consists of a foundation of cardboard covered with a layer of plaster, consisting of a mixture of whiting and glue.
