Pencil-holders; pencil point-protectors. - A pencil-holder or point-protector a open at one end c and provided with an open-ended slot e, is constructed so that a pencil and a surrounding hollow roll of paper d may be slid in from the open end, and the roll of paper may be wound and unwound through the slot by rotating the pencil or the roll. The strip of paper forming the roll may be provided with, or formed at one end into, a tube to receive the pencil ; or a separate tube h may be provided. The roll may protrude at f, so that it may be gripped for winding, and a collar, cover, or cap g ma.y he attached to the pencil to determine its protruding length.
