Baking-trays and the like, greasing.- A device for greasing baking-tins comprises a container A for the oil, a pump mounted therein having a stationary plunger H and a moving barrel F, the latter being extended above the container as a pipe E, to carry a wooden dummy block C having a felt pad D which becomes saturated with oil when an inverted tin is placed on the block and pressed down. The plunger H is screwed into a strengthening plate M on the bottom of the container A, and a spring G, accommodated between the plate M and the cylinder F, tends to keep the cylinder and the dummy raised. The oil enters the pump through a hole R, two non- return ball-valves K being provided. A pin N on the pipe E prevents the cylinder F from leaving the plunger H, and turning of the plunger is prevented by a feather J. The lid B is secured to the container A by a bayonet-joint S, and is dished to receive surplus oil which returns to the container through a gauze filter P. Lifting handles T are provided.
