摘要
323,189. Counsell, G. R. Sept. 21, 1928. Presses.-Tie, handkerchief, and trouser presses are made by flexibly binding or hingeing together sheets of fibrous material such as strawboard, cardboard, wood, &c., the edges of the sheets being broken or torn, for example by sawing, so as to present outstanding fibres, and then hingedly secured together by a resilient adhesive or cement. The adhesive may consist of a natural or artificial dispersion of rubber or similar vegetable resins, or a mixture thereof, and may contain additional constituents such as glue, to improve the adhesion or setting of the dispersion. A flexible or resilient hacking of rubber, paper, cloth, or other material in plastic or sheet form may be applied over the adhesive coating.
