[Class 52 (ii)] In a sliding seat for vehicles of the kind in which the seat back has limbs 2, preferably made from metal bar or tube, bent at ar angle to the back the said limbs are arranged within and are fixed directly or indirectly to slide members 3 which slide relatively to fixed slide members 4. In the case of slide members such as those described in Specification 405,954, the limb 2, Fig. 2, of the seat back is secured by pins 8 within a channel member 5 which is secured to the seat slide 3. In the construction shown in Fig. 3, the limb 2 is secured directly to the seat slide 3. With channel section seat slides, the limb 2 may also be secured to a channel member or to an angle member secured within the seat slide. The invention is applicable also to slide members such as are described for example in Specifications 327,747, [Class 52 (ii)], and 379,902.
